The Amy Van Andel Library, in coordination with the Library Friends, hosts quarterly art exhibits in the main lobby area, with a focus on local artists. The work of Ada resident Betsy Ratzsch is on display from January - March, 2023.

For 20 years, Betsy owned the Betsy Ratzsch Pottery studio and gallery in Ada Village, where she produced and sold her own custom lines of ceramic dinnerware and other fine pottery, as well as a selection of hand-produced jewelry and other American fine craft produced by others.

In 2013, Betsy shifted her artistic focus to acrylic painting, with an emphasis on the ever-varying visuals of the Lake Michigan shoreline. In Betsy’s words, her goal is “to give more of an impression of how being at this huge body of fresh water feels rather than to how it looks exactly."
